As a parent, you want to be sure you’re hiring the right person to take care of your children. Babysitters on Demand is intended to make the whole process much easier, safer and more effective, both from a practical point of view and also a “human” perception.

Choosing someone to help look after your children is a job that requires both your HEAD and your HEART. You can have all the best information in the world, and still not find a great Babysitter – you always need to use your intuition.
Babysitters on Demand was built with this in mind. We do the hard work for you!

Be clear about what you need:

  • Is this a one-time job/assignment?
  • Could it become something regular, weekly? Monthly?
  • How many hours will you need (realistically) and how much are you planning to pay?
  • Will you need things like food preparation or nappy changing?
  • Does the babysitter need a car to get to your house?

Browse through our team profiles to see what they are offering. The clearer you are before you start, the more straight-forward your experience will be.

First impressions:
Look for profiles that are well written and comprehensive. Babysitters on Demand aims to provide very descriptive profiles to impress you!
Check references and referees:
Babysitters on Demand takes care of the reference and referee checks for you, we interview the babysitter, we check and triple check all documents including police clearances, working with children checks and certifications. We pick up the phone and have many conversations with our team’s referee’s to make sure we have the best of the best on our team!
Ask About Experience: Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the team’s experience. If you have a specific question’s about one of our team members and their experience which may not be covered in their profile, please contact us!
Paid Trial: If you are looking for something more long-term and regular such as a nanny, we offer paid trial assignments. This way you can monitor their interaction with your children and decide whether they are a good fit. Observe how they connect with your children and equally as important, how your children respond to them.
Consider Your Child’s Needs: A good babysitter for one child may not necessarily be right for another child. This is only something that you can judge, but each of your children is unique and may respond radically differently to alternative carers.

Experience: Some babysitters will have worked in several homes around your area and come highly recommended. By choosing a local babysitter it is likely they will be familiar with your neighbourhood. This can enable you to build a great working relationship with our team and that you can call on in the future.

Qualifications and First Aid: Many babysitters are training for childcare careers, and will already have some qualifications. And a babysitter that has some first aid training, especially if it is related to childcare, offers a distinct advantage. All our team members have senior first aid certification.

Checks and Certificates: While it is not essential, it can add a lot of confidence if a babysitter has a Police Check, or Working with Children check. There are a number of checks like this, some of which vary from state to state. At Babysitters on Demand we have a rigorous application process where we check thoroughly for all checks and certifications no matter what state or territory you live in!

Babysitters on Demand is designed from the ground up, to make the whole process easier, safer and faster. Providing exceptional care to children and peace of mind to parents.

We’re making Babysitting better, so if that’s something you’re interested in being a part of, please contact us today to find out how to use our service.
